I’ve been running classes since 2008. I want other people to get the same pleasure from their dogs as I get from mine.
In 2011 I passed the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) assessment.

My name is Shaun Kenvyn and dog training is my passion.
Dogs have always been in my life. My parents bred Dobermans and I’ve shared my home with different dogs from cross-breeds to Old English Sheepdogs. Currently my wife and I live with six dogs – two Miniature Schnauzers, two Toy Poodles, a Border collie and a Shepadoodle.
I’ve taken most of my dogs through the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme, some to Gold Standard, and for many years I volunteered at local dog training classes.
I started running my own classes in 2008 so that other people could get the same pleasure from their dogs as I get from mine. I’ve worked with many dogs of different breeds from a 2.5kg Yorkshire terrier to a 70kg Leonberger.
Now I run puppy courses, workshops and classes for older dogs and also provide one-to-one training and home visits.
I help you understand your dog’s behaviour and what motivates him. I show you how to speak your dog’s language. Using kind and effective methods which reward good behaviour (never choke chains or rattle bottles), together we’ll create a happy, well-behaved dog and you’ll become a satisfied owner.
“In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly dog.”
– Edward Hoagland, acclaimed American author, nature and travel writer.
I look forward to seeing you at one of my classes.
