In 2008, Shaun and Sue started running their own classes to give other people the same pleasure from their dogs as they do.

In 2011, Shaun passed the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) assessment and become a registered dog trainer. To learn more about the APDT please visit their website www.apdt.co.uk.

In 2017, Sue completed the Life Skills for Puppies Tutors Course at Lincoln University.

They are both firm believers in CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and have attended numerous courses over the years. Some of which include Kay Laurence, Gwen Bailey, Chirag Patel and ADPT UK Advanced Course etc. And continue to do so with various courses always in the diary.

Together they have worked with many dogs from a wide range of breeds, including a 2.5kg Yorkshire Terrier to a 70kg Leonberger. The business has grown organically over the years and they have built a strong reputation in the dog training world. K9 Traintime covers the South Wales area and delivers training at their facility in Newport plus offers home visits for one-to-one sessions.

Expert training for puppies and dogs across South Wales

In order to really enjoy a dog, one doesn’t merely try to train him to be semi-human. The point of it is to open oneself to the possibility of becoming partly dog.
